The 2016-2017 CAC AmeriCorps Water Quality Team involved 2,279 middle and high school students in Adopt-A-Watershed (AAW) water quality educational activities. In total, there were 16,314 educational contacts. Approximately two-thirds of the students participated in five or more hands-on sessions focused on stormwater-related topics. Ninety-six percent of these students responded that they had an intent to change their habits to improve our waterways after participating in the Adopt-A-Watershed program.
