UT Sustainability Day Symposium

October 22 @ 11:00 am - 8:00 pm

Sustainability Day 11 AM – 3 PM

Various organizations from all over Knoxville will be set up to table on October 22nd from 11 AM- 3 PM at Clement Courtyard and research presentations will take place in the Strong Hall Atrium. Attendees will be given a “passport” to fill out by engaging with tables, research projects, and group discussions. Once this passport is complete, participants will be able to come grab sustainably sourced food and participate in a Zero Waste Event!

Throughout the day, group discussions will be led by students or community members that focus on different topics of sustainability. These will take place inside Strong Hall and anyone is welcome to join! Student groups or research participants are encouraged to step up and help lead a session, or just come to participate in a mindful discussion.

Climate Action Town Hall 6 PM – 8 PM

Starting at 6 pm, we will be co-hosting a town hall with guest speakers and a Q&A session in Auditorium B1 of Strong Hall. We are partnering with The Sierra Club and Sunrise Movement Knoxville to discuss how Climate Change and The Green New Deal affects us as a community in Knoxville. Speakers will take pre-submitted questions from the audience during the event.
